Why is it important?

Increasingly ATVs, OHVs (such as quads), and side by sides are being used at worksites, so workers need to be trained on them. They are simple for workers to operate, but they can be extremely dangerous.

Every year workers are killed while operating these vehicles!

What will I learn in OHV rider training?

The basic courses are 8 hours long, but training can be customized to suit your (or your employees') needs. The course is offered through the Alberta Safety Council and the following aspects are covered:

  • parts of the ATV, snowmobile, or OHV
  • PPE needed for riding
  • maintenance and inspection
  • reading the owner's manual
  • starting, driving, loading, and hauling (with trucks/trailers)
  • loss of control recovery

Because this course is custom for your specific needs, please contact us directly by phone or email for a quote.

Factors such as location, group size, and whether we are supplying the ATVs, OHVs, side by sides, or quads will significantly effect the pricing!
