H2S Alive
H2S Alive (Enform Certified)
This one-day course is intended for all workers in the petroleum industry who could or be exposed to
hydrogen sulphide (H2S), also known as sour gas. This course is required for people who work in the field in the oil industry.
The following items are covered in this H2S Alive class:
- The physical properties and health hazards of H2S
- How to protect oneself
- Basic rescue techniques

8 Hours
Prerequisites
The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:
- Anyone can attend this course. No prerequisites are required; however, it is recommended for
- individuals over the age of 14 years.
Description
Each student is required to operate in class:
* Self-contained breathing apparatus
* A detector tube device
* Perform rescue breathing on a mannequin
Certifications Earned
Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:
- An industry standard certificate valid for three years is issued upon successful completion of a written examination and demonstration of the required skills.
Additional Information
Each candidate that has successfully completed will receive a temporary card that is valid for 2 months. A permanent card will be mailed after the course.
