H2S Alive (Enform Certified)-This one-day course is intended for all workers in the petroleum industry who could or be exposed to hydrogen sulphide or H2S, also known as sour gas. This course is required for people who work in the field in the oil industry.

The course theory is taught in an traditional classroom atmosphere, also additional components are taught using a full scale model of a production battery and full size triple drilling rig.  The training provided is near Edmonton and Devon.

MISAFETY also utilizes 20 000sqft of interpretive space at the Canadian Energy Discovery Centre, workers gain an understanding of the process of creating energy.

1. H2S Properties & The Initial Response Strategy

2. Respiratory Protective Equipment (and use of a SABA system)

3. Detection of H2S

4. Rescue Techniques and Rescue Breathing

5. Case Study

6. Rescue Component

Schedule: Each Wednesday, and every second Monday

All customers without an account must pay a 50% deposit upon booking.  The remainder will be due and payable upon course completion. All no-shows will be charged a total of 50% of the course cost.  Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to course start time in order to receive a refund.

This course can be offered on your site with a minimum of 6 students.  There is no charge for travel within 100km of Edmonton.

Please bring your Basic PPE, Coveralls, Steel toe boots, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses and gloves, this course has a practical component.
