We are changing the way safety training is conducted. Why? Because it is not effective. Research from organizations such as the Enform and the Canadian Red Cross show that learners retain the most information when they can get involved, and they have actual examples they can touch, see and handle. We have taken it one step further by utilizing 10 acres of oilfield simulators, and 20 000sqft of interpretive space at the Canadian Petroleum Energy Center. Our facility is one of few in the world that uses this size or complexity of safety simulators and is a radical departure from how safety training is currently being conducted.
MISAFETY has been conducting training courses since 2003. We were one of the first companies to have OSSA fall protection and confined space courses accredited, and one of the few companies to be approved to offer Enform Fall Rescue.
Our staff stay on the leading edge of safety by being involved in the legislation process, and staying current in the industry by working on site during rescue standby and fall protection installations.
We are working together with the Canadian Energy Discovery Center to further their mission as an educational centre for the energy industry.
